I'm not going to censor myself because someone else is twisting my words on purpose, and that is all i'm going to say on this topic.

I don‘t mean to. But „replace“ sounded to me the same as what the others said at the first reading, although from knowing your opinion I assumed that you meant it as you actually do :D

You shouldn’t have to censor yourself. One thing is for sure though, there’s always someone waiting in the wings to make a comment. Looking forward to a new aircraft release so people post about it instead of picking another’s post apart. It’s getting old!

One the new Comanche is ready for beta we will be reaching out to expand our beta team, as this is a big step for us and will need as much testing as we can get.

An A2A helicopter would be pretty neat.

This reminds me...

The Cherokee Nation has recently complained that Jeep should stop using the name.

But I guess the aviation industry remained silent giggling behind their hands

The Cherokee name is their heritage. I guarantee Jeep would get upset if others appropriated and used the Jeep name commercially.

Do you see the parallel?

Heritage. Ok, my last name is Black, it’s my heritage, therefore it offends me that any company or other entity use my last name in any way to name or describe anything or use as a background color on a forum.

Yeah I didn't mean to start a political discussion (which it is, it's not about the name or heritage anyway) but I found it so funny that aviation industry has always followed the same naming convention while Jeep has to engage their lawyers (again) for basically nothing but a few letters of one model of theirs :D

Nor was it my intention to rant. They’re names, and I don’t think anyone has a right to claim them as their own. Onward.

My main problem with P3Dv5 is the inland water looks awful. Nobody seems to know how to make it look better.
There is a solution to make inland water looking better, and to have a general water better look : envtex works well with P3DV5...

But honestly, having P3Dv4.5, V5 and MSFS2020 running on my PC, I almost never use v5, v4.5 looks so much better with environment force and skyforce textures, performances are not really that better in v5, at least on my rig, Enhanced Atmosphere looks like something from 4 years ago, wich is exactly what it is, compare to the 3D clouds of MSFS it's a bit of a joke...Especially if you look at how DCS has implemented a new 3d clouds and lighting system in beta, with success, I wonder how the V5 of P3D can be that bad with its new generation atmosphere...

Really looking forward to have A2A aircraft in MSFS...this is really the thing I miss the most and makes me going back to P3D most of the time.

after seeing MSFS I won't spend a single cent for graphic enhancers anymore aka ASCA, Envtex, PTA etc. Looking back it's hilarious that we actually needed them. We're in 2021 and were using a decades old lighting system, sun shining through the fuselage, through the clouds at full intensity.. As one example. The clouds are the next one. In P3Dv5 they still rotate around you, flicker when you are close to them in VR.. I have reduced my P3D to what I need to beta test another addon but beside that I don't use it anymore. This also means I can't fly my A2A fleet atm but hopefully once the Comanche is out the restoration hangar this process may speed up a bit. Together with the DC6 It also seems like Manfred Jahn and Jan Visser bring their DC-3 to MSFS some of the mods of the default aircraft have become absolutely great. The default engine model is a pity, but hey.. Then Ant's Tiger Moth and my time is well spent =)

P3Dv% with my new Ryzen system is way much better than FSX, but I still find v5 lacking. The water looks better inland if you just reduce it to no wave animations, and looks better over the ocean at medium settings. The ground textures are disappointing. And now with MSFS developers are focusing on that rather than v5. I plan on trying MSFS when A2A produces the Comanche for it.
Ryzen 7 5800X3D liquid cooled, OC to 4.5 ghz, Radeon XFX 6900XT Black edition, 2 tb M2 drive, 32 gb ddr4 ram, Asus Hero Crosshair VIII mother board, and some other stuff I forget exactly what.

Seems like this is the current trend: lots of people waiting on the Comanche to move to FS2020. I'm in the same boat, sort of. I got a bit frustrated with FS2020 so I took a break and returned to P3D. But as soon as A2A release the Comanche, i'm going back.
