Eh? I don't have the A2A Connie installed at the moment. Not sure that I have it actually. I'll have to go check on my account.

From what I see of your system is that I have an overclocked i9 running @ 4.8, instead of an i7; and my sim and all other supporting software like ORBX, third party aircraft etc. are all on an M.2 type solid state hard drive. The hard drive alone probably helps a great deal with file access/updating.

I do have it, Yay. The FE position is very dark though, even with the lights on.

I also have a problem with the external flashing beacon but I'll post that in the proper forum shortly.

Steve.

Ha! I see the guys are already on top of the flashing beacon problem. Good oh! :mrgreen:

Beacon lights problem underneath of the Connie. OK, find from C:\Users\??????\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons\A2A\Effects folder, the file fx_wos_l049_beacon.fx
Open that file and see if you have the line Texture=fx_2.bmp as shown from [ParticleAttributes.0] group

[ParticleAttributes.0]
Blend Mode=2
Texture=fx_2.bmp
Bounce=0.00
Color Start=64, 18, 0, 255
Color End=30, 18, 0, 0
Jitter Distance=0.00
Jitter Time=0.00
uv1=0.00, 0.00
uv2=0.00, 0.00
X Scale Goal=0.00
Y Scale Goal=0.00
Z Scale Goal=0.00
Extrude Length=0.00
Extrude Pitch Max=0.00
Extrude Heading Max=0.00

OK, now check with P3Dv5 HDR Off and see the Connie FE room and tell me your thoughts.

It's certainly brighter but unfortunately the sim now reminds me of earlier v2 P3D, or FSX. I guess I'm used to HDR and Enhanced Atmospherics now. It's fortunate that my passion is mostly singe seat fighter aircraft. Plenty of light in cockpit.

Also, that tweak to the fx file did nothing. The download from Nick does nothing too. I'll try a restart next.

Where is your A2A Constellation installed? It is supossed to be installed in:
C:\Users\your name\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons\A2A

so, look at \Effects\ folder and check the file in question to figure what I said earlier.

Yeah. That's right. After a re-start none of the lights work at all. I'm UN-installing the Connie for now and may RE-install later. :wink:

Oops! after reinstall you know to run the updater but such light problem under the Connie will stay unless you work with Effect file.
