P3D looking good

Post by woody901 »

Image2020-12-4_11-26-48-62 by metal1956, on Flickr

P3D has never looked better or run smother than it does in the latest version. Even on my 4 year old machine I am still enjoying the results I'm getting.
The beautiful Spitfire over Orbx True Earth GB with the latest Activesky and a couple of tweaks with Envshade to adjust the look of the new 'truesky''

Please, A2A, bring the B17 to this environment. It would look stunning.
Thanks
Mick Wood

Hmmm, despite reading Nick's post about how to post an embedded screenshot, it looks like I don't know what I am doing. Typical.
:D

Nice pic Mick! To embed images from Flickr on a phpBB board like this one you can click the "share" link for the image and then copy and paste the "BBCode" straight into your forum post. In the case of your screenshot, the link text is:

Code: Select all

[url=https://flic.kr/p/2kdk3Rh][img]https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50678985802_3ca992fe68_k.jpg[/img][/url][url=https://flic.kr/p/2kdk3Rh]2020-12-4_11-26-48-62[/url] by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/48135331@N02/]metal1956[/url], on Flickr
This should display as an embedded image when posted direct (i.e. without the extra code tags that I added above).

P3D 5.1 with the hotfix really does run superbly and looks great.

Thanks for that Nick. It made sense that time. One question? Is the screenshot ok at that size? If I want to make it smaller, how do i go about it?
thanks for any help

You're welcome Mick. The screenshot is fine at that size (the forum will automatically resize it to the browser window) but it looks like the share link within flickr gives different image size options under the "BBCode" bit.

Care to share the tweaks? Screenshot looks great!

The Envshade tweaks are the same as Nick used in this post....viewtopic.php?f=23&t=71718
The only difference is with the latest Envshade comes the option to reduce horizon haze. This I also turned down a little.

Thanks for the heads up that Active Sky for P3D v4/5 has been released. Now I have a purchasing decision to make...
