In 10th of June, 1965 - believe it or not - the first automated landing by an airliner in scheduled revenue flight was performed.

In 4th of November, 1966, this was first done in actual CAT II/III conditions.

These were performed by Hawker Siddeley Trident.

It took more than five decades for a passenger airliner to perform a complete flight, visual portions such as taxiing included, and based on visual technology, autonomously. Now it is done.

It remains to be seen when this will be first done in revenue service.
