Around the World Plan with a Cessna

Post by CookerCook »

Aircraft: Cessna 182 Skylane Reg: N951DT custom Repaint (now N951EC)
PAX: The Pilot, 3 PAX depending on the situation.

Starting Airport: RPVD
First Stop: Manila
Last Stop: N/A

Find it on VATSIM, sometimes I only Fly it on the weekends I’ll try and pull it together and post some of my progress here.

UPDATE:

First Leg wasn't that special, just a hop to Manila which took me about 3 hours overnight, though there was a crosswind on short final. (sorry couldn't bring enough photos)
Next Stop: Taiwan.

New Update:

This by far is the longest leg in my Travelling history. RPLL-RCSS. I experienced prevailing winds, clouds and I didn't know how to go around the clouds so I went through. (I don't know if that is gonna shred the Cessna to pieces in real life but this is a simulator) It was fun and boring at the same time. The fact that made it boring is it was by far a long leg on my RTW Plan. Plus the speed of the 182, but I'm not complaining.

Next Stop: Jeju Island

Here are pictures of the Sierra Madre Mountains of the Philippines (from the cockpit):

Did a Turn inside RCTP (IDK if that is illegal in real life though)

UPDATE: Stopped at Juneau and will not be continuing due to my current PC having reformatted and deleted all my files. Thanks for the support so far.

Cheers!

Actually, you can find me right now on your VATSCOPE or VAT-SPY, just find the Reg. N951DT on the Philippines.

Also, thanks Father of Cessnas, for noticing my post.

I am presently sort of in your neighborhood in my round-the-world...Dalian, China. Heading north into Manchuria and then Russia. I'm using the Cherokee.

I am taking screenshots too. Maybe one of these days I'll put them on Imgur and link them here. I flew past a couple of iconic mountains (Mt. Olympus in Greece, and the Ararat in Turkey, and a stopover in Lukla, Nepal for some really big mountains.)

I'm still in Dalian, China. I haven't had any time to fly this week! I want to get up north for some midnight-sun flying in Siberia. I better get a move on...

I think I posted about this before, but anyway, I am following these guys routing:

I am OTW to Taiwan, I might get a glance on you when you tell me what your registration is. I will change mine as it is registered in a real aircaft. Haven't got the time to fly too as my PC is slow when FSX Weather indicates it is raining.

This is why you didn't fly the 172. :D

Completing the world flight in the same aircraft you started is part of the special challenge.
