It is now well over a year ago that an update to v4.5 for the B-17 was first mentioned, and we received a few 'encouraging' messages from Lewis here and there, but nothing ever materialized.
Now I know next to nothing about making models for flight sim, but somehow I always had the feeling that making an updated would be easier than a new version. Am I wrong? Is it actually harder?
Is progress still being made, or should I accept the fact that is is no longer in the cards? It's not so much the waiting, but rather the deafening silence that surrounds this model (and all other models under development actually)... any news?

Re: B-17?
I distinctly remember two announcements that it was close to release for v4. The last one said, words to the effect of "baring something weird cropping up, like it did with the (can't remember which model now and can't find the post), it will be soon". Obviously something cropped up and then v5 came out. Probably doubling their work load. So I think it is still on the cards. That's my hope anyway.

Yes, after almost one year of silence a new development update would be much appreciated.
Not only with regard to the B-17. I would also interested to know whatever happened with the Military Trainer Line and if we can expect more PBR updates. Especially A2A's newest products (T-6, L-049 and the Bonanza) would greatly benefit from PBR
Greetings

Really looking forward to it as well. The chilling hum of the four Cyclones after enjoying to start them up. And quite a relaxing machine in the air as well.
The Connie is also good, but a different kind of machine.

Kinda' like Accusim....

Re: B-17?
If we get it before September I'll be happy but I doubt we will if I'm honest. But hey it'll have a bunch of cool features like rain effects and pbr and even more if it's taken them this long!jcblom wrote: ↑17 May 2020, 11:43 It is now well over a year ago that an update to v4.5 for the B-17 was first mentioned, and we received a few 'encouraging' messages from Lewis here and there, but nothing ever materialized.

I too am a little sad to only fly the non-accu-sim B-17. So just do it, fix her up and lets get this B-17 off the ground. Like many other projects it needs your customers to rant or mumble to get going! So what are you going to do?

Add me to the list. I check this site frequently for news. Number 1 wait just ahead of TFDI MD-11 and now any Concorde.
