All the Accusim-planes are in my hangar, but they aren't sitting long enough for their engines to cool much before next flight!

I had honestly just two days ago resigned myself to the opposite! Time to get Sudbury Stn. 174 out and updated and find all those amazing Jan Kees paints! 😀

I’m really looking forward to those long flights listening to the engines, the crew and the radio!

excellent news, it is still alive.
Now for the meaning of 'soon':
1 : without undue time lapse : before long "soon after sunrise"
2 : in a prompt manner : speedily "as soon as possible the sooner the better no sooner said than done"
3 : in agreement with one's choice or preference : willingly "I'd just as soon walk as drive"
4 archaic : before the usual time
5 obsolete : at once : immediately ow, rats!

Soon is a 1993 country music album by Tanya Tucker. The top hits from Soon were the title song, "Soon" at #2, "Hangin' In" at #4. and "We Don't Have to Do This" at #11 on the Billboard Top Country Singles charts. "You Just Watch Me" rose to #20. The album rose to #18 on the Country Albums chart.

Soon Soon, its not what we would have liked after a few issues along the way so instead of not releasing at all which it was looking like as the P3D seemed locked in, we are moving forward with getting the current B-17 out to you for the P3D platform as requested with the passion in the thread.

thanks,

I'm guessing the PBR conversion was probably not possible, which is fine. I will be glad to have her as a 'straight port' in a more up to date sim like P3D.

Thank you for not giving up. :D

Curiouser and curiouser. So an A2A B-17 is coming “quite soon” but it’s a fixed version of the original, and not releasing at all was a possibility (probability?).

@Lewis, can we ask for more info on the two versions? I’m really pleased the B-17 will be fixed up for P3D. The AccuSim version was really nice. I’d love the full upgrade the other planes got, but being able to fly the “original” is fine too. Is the revamped version dead or near death? (Please no?)

And this begs the question for the P-47. Not sure how similar the underlying technologies are between the P-47 and B-17, but fixing up the older version of the B-17 to not be broken sounds like it wasn’t too painful of a decision so it’s not that difficult?

Any other tidbits about these aircraft to share? (Might as well ask... :D )

And thanks for the B-17! :D

I'm really looking forward to flying the B-17 in Prepar3d. I gave up on FSX because I was always running out of memory. OrbX and France VFR have great scenery for GB, France, and Germany (even Norway) and if you keep an eye open you can often find them on sale. I still have the FSX version of the Accusim B-17; it's fun just going through the startup procedure, but I've been adding so much scenery to P3d that I've had to remove most of the FSX scenery add-ons. So I'm hoping soon is soon.

Imagine the A2A B-17 in action on IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles. Sadly I don't think the game engine will allow a 4 engine aircraft.
