I have this problem in v5. It happens with the comanche too.

I have read old post about switching on "high resolution in VC" but I don't see a similar option in p3d v5

Hi Arturo,

Yes, this is another known issue affecting some users in P3Dv5. For more info please see this topic; basically you'll need to change the "COCKPIT_HIGH_LOD=" entry in the Prepar3D.cfg from 0 to 1.

Thanks,

I have copied my P3Dv4.5 A2A add-on folder with C172 to P3Dv5 and removed the windscreen.dll as recommended (installed location documents/Prepar3D v5 Add-ons/A2A). However, when I run P3Dv5 no A2A aircraft or the C172 appears in the Select Vehicle dialog and therefore cannot be loaded. I have other aircraft add-ons in the same folder that do work (eg. JF C152).

When you first launched P3Dv5 after moving the files, were you presented with a message box asking "Enable add-on: 'A2A'?"?

No I was not. But thank you for the clue. I have activated the A2A add-on and can now load the C172. Thank you.

Okay, in that case please can you double-check that the "add-on.xml" file is present. The file location should be "C:\Users\[UserName]\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons\A2A\add-on.xml. There should be six folders in this directory, along with the add-on.xml file.

Thanks,

hello
i loaded (copy and paste ) in my C disk , in my Prepar V5 addon file,s the A2A file ( P 40 and Cub ) included in my Prepar V4.5 addon file as indicaded in your post, but no A2A planes in my Prepar V5 airplane list .
Prepar V5 and Prepar V4.5 are located in my F disk . Is that a possible explaination?
Help

Are you going to publish a patch to ease the process and correct the problems?
Thanks

Hello,

As mentioned in the first post in this topic, we will be making new installers available for P3Dv5. However, Lockheed Martin are currently working to fix a few issues behind the scenes and we'll also need to make changes to some files before these can be released.

Copy and pasting your existing files across from P3Dv4 to v5 should work pretty well in the meantime. Please use the default "Prepar3D v5 add-ons" folder in "Documents" and follow the instructions in the first post. If this hasn't worked, when you first launched P3Dv5 after moving the files, were you presented with a message box asking "Enable add-on: 'A2A'?"?

Thanks,
Nick

Hello PR,

You'll need to copy the entire "A2A" folder from "Prepar3D v4 add-ons" and then remove or rename the WIndshield.dll in the "gauges" folder inside this directory.

Thanks,
