Hello everyone. New member here but long time A2A flyer.

I just recently installed the C172 with the latest V5 installers available from the store. Yet I still get a GPU error when loading. I disabled the windshield.dll and it works fine. I had assumed the V5 installer will work out of the box? Just seeking clarification.

Hello all. New forum member. But long time A2A C172 owner.

Recently I installed using the latest V5 installers, but still kept getting CTD from some sort of GPU error.

I disabled the windshield DLL and it works just fine. I thought it was supposed to work out of the box with the latest installer. Just asking for clarification. Thank you.

Hello jmrtlara and welcome.

Did the installer download an update when you ran it? It should have done. If this doesn't help resolve your issue, please can you start a new topic in the tech support forum for the 172 as it gets a bit messy if we try to troubleshoot various different issues from multiple posters in this thread.

Thanks,
Nick

Hello Nick,
Then I'll wait till the P3D V5-version is coming out. In the meantime I had it uninstalled.

Hello all,

Just a quick note to add that today we've released P3Dv5 installers for the PA-28 Cherokee, P-40 Warhawk and P-51 Civilian Mustang. Installers for the remaining 6 aircraft that are currently available for P3Dv4 will follow as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Nick

Thank you to everyone at A2A. They are coming out quick. Took the P-40 up for about 45 mins. All seems good. Went to take the P-51 up and OMG GPS won't come on and the 2D has buttons everywhere. Anyone else have this issue?

UPDATE!!!

Swapped out the V5 panel with the V4 panel and it works now. I guess there is something in the V5 panel that's off kilter? Haven't taken her up yet but will do later.

Wow He's right. GPS working but 2D has the buttons everywhere. This time I just swapped out the GPS folder in V5 for the GPS folder in V4 and it works.

To make sure I understand that correctly.

Currently provided are V5 installers only for certain planes? I keep reading about people experiencing CTD's. Is that for users that just port their planes or the ones that used the V5 installers as well?

Debating about purchasing the V5 Cessna 172 but want to make sure the plane's actually been updated and not just ported.
