Re: Free Accu-Sim P-40 during the current pandemic
As generous as this offer is (since A2A makes the best simulated aircraft) I already have the fantastic P40. I have all the P3D A2A aircraft.
Even though I can't take advantage of this, just wanted to say Thank You to A2A for this generous offer.
Though Lionheart (don't know if I spelled it right) makes a nice Tripacer, I can only dream of what A2A would have done with it. I used to own one.

This is a very generous offer at a very difficult time, thank you! When I want to really challenge myself I start up the trusty Bonanza or Cherokee on a blustery day and take off!
Re: Free Accu-Sim P-40 during the current pandemic
An excellent and heartwarming offer. It really is an exceptional and somewhat quirky plane...
I took the opportunity, while on the store, to exercise a little solidarity and purchase the Cub for P3D Pro...
My way of saying thank you to A2A

Re: Free Accu-Sim P-40 during the current pandemic
I already own the P-40 for FSX but the more I thought about it this afternoon, I've given moving to P3D quite a bit of thought lately so I decided to go ahead and get my free P-40 for P3D just in case and I'll download it if the time comes. To show my appreciation though I bought the Commanche, which is the second to last aircraft I needed to make my Accusim collection complete.
Re: Free Accu-Sim P-40 during the current pandemic
Thus setting the bar impossibly high for freeware!!!!
That is truly an awesome gesture, thanks so much Scott et al. I already the P-40s for both FSX & P3D so I think I'm going to go increase my new and growing P3D fleet a bit

Re: Free Accu-Sim P-40 during the current pandemic
Is this compatable with P3D V3.4 (NOT V4)
U tried to install into a dummy folder and was able to load some of what was unpacked
The plane loaded in P3D, engine running but prop not moving
H-E-L-P

Hi.
Did you download the wrong P40 There is the FSX / P3Dv3 and a P3Dv4 the v4 being a 64 bit , also it has a self loader , you dont manually unzip and load individual files manually.
regards alan.

Re: Free Accu-Sim P-40 during the current pandemic
I got the FREE version which seems to be for FSX only - no mention of any P3D V3. The other P40 was for P#D V4.
The installer ask for my FSX location and not any P3D location.
The free file I got was Accu-Sim_P40.zip

Oldnavy,
We've actually never released a version of the P-40 for P3Dv3; official support is for FSX and P3Dv4 only.
Thanks,
Nick

So can I point the installer to where my P3D is and everything will install properly?
It didn't find a valid FSX so I guess maybe it won't install properly in P3D V3.4....that is my estimation.

I'm lucky to be allowed to go to work everyday. But I was wondering what to do next week end.
Thanks Scott, I did not plan to go outside anyway, but you gave me one reason more to stay home.

Re: Free Accu-Sim P-40 during the current pandemic
Hi Oldnavy.
The FSX P40 works just fine in P3Dv3 as it is a 32 bit , some members of the 91st bombardment group had it before they moved to P3Dv4 , and download the new one.
The way i believe they did it was making a copy of the P3Dv3.exe and renamed the copy to FSX.exe , the other way is if you had a copy of FSX , then load it in there , then manually copy the folders over to P3Dv3 , being very carefull to transfer all the aircrafts files over , the other way is again if you have FSX installed and p40 loaded into it , then use the migration tool , but care is needed on this.
regards alan.
