There are both pressurized and unpressurized models out there. The A2A's one is naturally aspirated, unpressurized version, I think pretty much the original 600-model. (601 added turbocharging, and 601P is 'P' for pressurized.)

From when I was 1 year old to when I was 6 years old, my dad had a 602P Aerostar. It was turbocharged and pressurized, and one time he shock cooled both engines and they both had to be replaced. He sold it after that, (saddest day of my life at that point, the night the guys came to get it, he tried to take me for one last flight in it, and he had to abort the takeoff because he wasn't happy with the engines' performance on the takeoff roll, and that was the end of my experience flying with him in that airplane) and it was converted to a Superstar 700. It's N700WG today by the way. I think that would be a great thing with Accusim, having to worry about not pulling the MP back too much, too fast, or you crack the engines.

Is it possible we will see the opportunity to switch it from the naturally aspirated, unpressurized version, to a turbocharged, pressurized version of the A2A Aerostar, Scott? If you're going to model the Aerostar then certainly you have to model the fastest, highest flying variety! The difference would be amazing between those two, much more than just switching the prop on the 182 or the 172, or switching the engine on the Bonanza. Go big or go home, right?

Oh, also looking forward to how you guys figure out how to accurately model using the toggle switch for the nosewheel steering! I am strangely excited about that lol. And taxiing with only the right engine running, with the door open.

I am seriously praying. Lol.

"WOW! WOW! WOW!"

Thank you Arturo for this link.

Though not recently, I've seen this video a few times; well OVER AND OVER, if the truth be told. (I think the Youtube 'Flying Doodles' is great).

This is no bird. It's a race horse! Carol tells us "it's as fast as a King Air, early model". I like the idea that you still have to do work to fly it though, not just sit back and let it monotonously glide down the track, "if you're a pilot that doesn't like George to fly all the time".

Also I think the mood in this video by pilot Carol and Bobby is ace "it'd probably get there if we were dead!" and "something over the blue line" and (if you lose an engine) "you're a glider"; "my only emergency memory item is 'fly the airplane' " real cool dry wise humour and on approach try saying "nice and fast" slowly and calmly.

Carol sums it's performance "you cant get it with anything else. I love it. It's beautiful" .

So it's yet another "WOW". And now we have to wait. Aaaaarrrggghhh!!!

Rod EGBB (stayin' at home, keeping clean, seeding the lawn, just a couple of beers later no doubt)

The more airframes I fly the more impressive the Aerostar is. It handles as true as anything that flies, it's very jet-like. Honest and fast - a winning combination.

Not yet, we had to send the engine mount out to be rebuilt as it had some pitting. Expected to ship back to us this Friday then the process of putting the left engine back on begins.

Good news Scott, and then we can finally set the weather, time of day, season and airport, plan our flight, load the fuel and get in the air.

Oh well. At least it's progressing and I'm sure you'll be happy to have a complete plane again. :D I hope you'll make another video of it once it's airworthy again as I love watching these.

Not over. Like a pendulum, we will be working with Warbirds again. Plus, we must do more actual test flying ;)

You can lose an engine and run into the ground at altitude. Also, our Aerostar is normally aspirated which, as an owner, IMO is more desireable.
