As I said in my initial reply, "Changing over the graphics card for a more powerful one does not always give the desired effect. This can be linked to..
The CPU "throttling" the card. I my case, I wanted to upgrade to a Nvidia GE Force 1080ti, THE card a couple of years ago. I found that my old i7 processor wasn't really powerful enough to do the card justice, so I upgraded to an i7 7700k. This gave the card the support it needed.
I'm not familiar with your i7, but the problem might well be throttling.

So far the card has given me enough of a boost in frames that I think I'll hold off on any new upgrades for a bit. At least until FS2020 comes out and I get a better idea on what I'll need.
