EZ Scenery: CFS3 buildings to FS9?

This is the place where we can all meet and speak about whatever is on the mind.

EZ Scenery: CFS3 buildings to FS9?

Post by Skycat »

SimHQ forums are down right now so I'll ask here ...

Does anybody know if CFS3's airfield objects (hangars, vehicles, etc) have ever been converted for use in FS9, specifically as EZ Scenery library objects? Can it be done?

I'd like to recreate some stateside WWII-era airfields to use with my WOP planes.

The format is wrong. You can't use cfs3 stuff in any other sim.

Check out the FS2004 scenery section at Simviation. A bit of a wade
through, but a couple of WWII airfields there. You'll also come across
the 'Golden Hawaii' package which will convert Hawaii to the 1930's with
aircraft. This in turn leads you to an outfit called Silverwings who are
busy converting the entire FS9 world back to the 30's. There's also a
nicely done Duxford (U.K.) scenery - including static and flying WWII
planes at a modern airshow.

Hope it helps.

I found those already. I wanted to build my own version of a particular base here in the U.S.

It looks like I''m going to be without my gaming machine for six or seven months, so no big deal.
