Cougar HOTAS and CH Rudder Pedals P3Dv4

I'm new to p3d and am stymied with setting up my HOTAS and CH rudders ...
My P3D doesn't seem to acknowledge either one of them and the only
controls working on an aircraft is elevator and ailerons. What am I not
doing that should be done or better yet, how do I get this working the way
it should ?......Thank you ahead of time !

afraid some flight systems need some drivers, and can not be use in p3d without them, i do not remember version of p3d when my x-65 stops recognizing without speciffic software, but i think it's was something like v3.2-3.5, so i think in your case after cougar hotas you need something like new warthog or similar for use it in p3d, but may be in p3d forum somebody got better answer for you, good luck and excuze me if my answer was too stupid
