I see they did not fix the messed up 2D panel night textures. I was really looking forward to that being fixed. Or, maybe there is a fix that I am not aware of. If so please fill me in.

Also. My frame rate once again gets halved with UN-docked windows. The fix that worked before, no longer works.

Steve.
I'm able to open three undocked windows on second screen with no issue but if I open a 4th or 5th the FPS drops progressively. Suggestions would be to clear shaders and play with G-Sync & V-Sync settings.

I searched P3D forums for the 2D panel lighting issue but could not find any threads on it. Maybe it's a very rare issue. I also have flickering display sense 4.4 in windowed mode or when mouse over a control/gauge and was hoping that to be fixed in 4.5 but alas it was not either. Reducing target FPS from unlimited to 120 helps the flickering a bunch but does not eliminate it.

All in all 4.5 seems to be ok for me and my system.

I have it running without issues to date, other than scenery load appears the same. I had to uninstall and reinstall EZDOK.

I uninstalled then installed the 4.5 three components.

Here is the A2A P51. The engine needs a tune up as it was running rough.

You might start with the link below. For me clearing my shader cache was a huge improvement. Others have found fixes in other areas. From this link you can follow the other links to a hopefully satisfactory end.

Good luck

Sorry for taking so long. The forums are acting up today.

I posted my solution in the LM forums here. But as I said, it no longer works for me now.

Steve.

EDIT: Out of desperation, I deleted the P3D profile in NCP and made a new one with the same settings as before. It works again.
The limit for me seems to be two UN-docked windows. After that, the frame rate drops a few fps for each window extra.

Finally got to try it out today. Running Active Sky, Orbx North American Regional scenery, and A2A aircraft (of course). Had to update Active Sky to a new beta version to make it work, but that was painless. Everything looks good. Gotta be honest, I don't see much difference in night scenery between 4.4 and 4.5 around Pullman (KPUW). Maybe I need to try it in a dense metropolitan area.

Does anybody know if LM will also offer a new 4.5 full download when they release the hotfix? I don't recall installing hotfixes in the past. I just did a fresh OS install, and haven't installed P3D yet, and will likely hold off if a new full download is gonna be made available.

In the past, LM has offered P3D hotfixes in the form of a new client installer. That suggests you can use it as part of a full install when it's released. If you wanted, you could download the full install now and store it. When the hotfix comes out, you can swap in the new client for the current one and do a full install. FWIW, I've never had any problems as a result of applying a hotfix via client uninstall/reinstall. Your mileage may vary, of course...

Lewis,

I noticed (P3DV4.5) that on the outside view, when throttle is set to idle, the sound stops (172,182 and comanche so far i tried).

Should I try to reinstall?

Awaiting comments.

Regards

Restart your sim, and flights. That's not something I've seen internally or beta side or has been reported to us by anyone. After a updating your A2A products and P3D have you made sure you system restart?

If it's reproducible please post in the relevant tech support forum, a single post in one off the aircraft areas will be ok.

Thanks,
Lewis

I have had no noticeable problems yet. However, Flight1's GPSs (430/530 and 650/750), for each new version, must be upgraded. A2A aircraft are working just fine, along with my other add-ons. Using Nvidia's Titan Xp seems to handle anything you throw at it.
