Product Status Update?

Hi all! I currently have 327 Flying points to use.

I don't want the points to expire, and I remember Scott saying when they were rolled out (almost a year ago) that they would expire in exactly 1 years time...so hopefully you can understand why I would like to use them, and if any new products are on the way to the store page.

I have not purchased the Bonanza yet, and I wanted to check if it would be possible to get any form of an update with product releases, specifically porting FSX airplanes to P3D or even a hint if another new product is near.

I had the P51C in FSX, I would re-buy it except I already have the Texan, and it is more my speed (literally). I looked at the spitfire and P40, however I am not really sure about those though.

I already have the 182, and Comanche (and a million other A2A planes).

I thought the points didn't expire, but it has been awhile and I could be wrong. If so I need to use the points I have to buy something cause they will expire at some point in the next month or so.

They do indeed expire: https://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewto ... 20#p497592

Expiration was never a danger with me. Until my last purchase, I've never been able to hold onto them.

Therefore, if expiration is a thing, then we need a regular output of some kind. As someone who has all A2A products, there is the danger of the points I have accrued expiring.

@crippy.
I can recommend to you the P40. It's what I would call 'a steady old plodder'. She handles beautifully on the ground and in the air whereas the Spitfire? Although having sheer poetry of motion in the air can now, since the update, be a real b***h on the ground. Some would say it's been overdone a bit. Just my opinion of course.

Steve.

Same here. I'd missed the post about the points expiring. It's a bit concerning - at the moment, I use only P3D and already own A2A's complete P3D output. So unless the pace of production steps up, there's a good chance the clock will run out on my discounts.

I suppose in future it'll be best to use the points as soon as possible, instead of accruing them - which I guess was the reason for the time limit. Though you'd think that from a cash flow and net present value perspective, a publisher would want customers to defer discounts and make undiscounted purchases sooner - you'd get more (and more valuable) dollars that way.

Odd.

Crippy: I can also recommend the A2A P-40. My A2A warbird hangar has the T-6, P-40, Spitfire, and Civ P-51. They each have their own personality. If the P-51 is like a newer Corvette, the P-40 would be more like a hopped up '55 Chevy with a 4-speed and no wiper blades (like the one in Two-Lane Blacktop).

Points expiring? What a drag. I better go check mine out right now. EDIT: Oh - no problem for me, as I have MINUS 47 points.

If the points expire after a year would it be possible to have an option in the points section of your account to let you know when they expire :D

Thanks Lewis. I've been holding my points while I decide when or if to transition to P3D.

Cool. I assume that to be relative to the date the points were actually acquired and not from the store switch-over date.
