Me three. Slow going, must be busy. I think I'll just stare at the file hoping somebody else installs first and tells us what happens. Full install this time, only did the client last time.

I’m going to wait until the addon community gets caught up.
REX, Active Sky, VRS Tacpack, etc. should have updates shortly.

Any official news regarding compatibility of the A2A V4 products with version 4.4?

Any one tried it just in case and found any problems.

I fly A2A aircraft almost exclusively and will delay my upgrade until it is confirmed that my hanger is OK.

Regards.

Bonanza and 172 so far in v4.4 perform as expected. No issues.

How is the performance ?
Same as 4.3, better / worse ?

Best regards

When I like to do basic flying, I turn to A2A Aircraft, cause A2A "basic" flying means "complex" procedures.

No updates should be needed for A2A customers, but of course we are rolling out the rain updates and other things at the moment anyway so make sure you run your updater to grab those.

For those considering downloading P3Dv4.4 update here some things to consider...
- So far I haven't noticed any significant improvements (based on my mid/high-performance computer set up)
- Currently no Flight1 GTN compatibility (or response for a release date)
- Active Sky: Will need to download a beta version
- PTA: Currently working on an update
- Add on aircraft: No issues
- Ultimate Traffic Live: No issues
- SPAD: no issues
- TrackIR: No issues
- Orbx: No issues

At this time, I haven't seen anything mind-blowing to warrant an update. I'm sure future add-ons and updates can begin utilizing some of the new features such as Physically Based Rendering (PBR). The default night lighting appears improved. I'm still evaluating some of the other changes/improvements and will update this thread if I notice anything significant that isn't mentioned.

Hi Folks,

While I wouldn’t expect any issues with A2A products with the P3Dv4.4 update - I am curious if A2A has any PBR material updates coming for existing products - so we can see just how good an aircraft can look when taking advantage of the new texture technology...

Regards,
Scott

I went ahead and risked it as well. I did a night flight and the sky looks better and illumination of the ground looks better too. I hope I’m not just imagining it since I haven’t had much time in, but it looked nice. I was flying in VR and it’s the first time the view was so dark I could start to see the fixed pattern gray. There was no moon is why it was so dark. I think the illumination I did have was from the sky box starlight. I've never seen that before either. It can push the dynamic range of a display device. Stars look much finer and so do ground lights.

The flight planner seems fixed now and no more having to load twice. I haven’t tried editing yet but just the load seems faster. Same for increasing the range on the GPS. It still pauses on one of the high ranges, but is much shorter of a pause.

I only installed the client so far. Wasn’t sure about the benefits of the scenery or content yet. So far Active Sky works great (with the beta update), FSUIPC, and ORBX scenery looks fine. Same for aircraft. Not seeing any major changes in appearance yet but in general I think there are improvements all over.

Haven’t experimented with the VR settings, gaze selection, and Vive viewport thing yet, but plan to. Cockpit tooltips work great but now that I’m used to not having them, I turned them off again.

More to explore but so far not a single issue or problem.
