Remember the Blackhawks?

Post by Paughco »

Sometimes when we're on one of our Sunday MP flights, it feels a little bit like we're the Blackhawks, from Blackhawk comics. They had some really cool airplanes, or they sure looked cool back when I was a kid reading the comics. Here is a link to a Blackhawk aircraft images search on Google: https://www.google.com/search?q=Blackha ... 3189571701.

It sure would be cool to have a Blackhawk paintjob for each of the A2A fighters. Maybe starting with the P-40. Just sayin'.

Took me a few moments but finally found the books I loved as a Kid, like this one from Colin Forbes describing a Matilda II in France 1940

There was another cracker too about the LRDG in the Desert that captured my imagination as a kid too.

Tramp in Armor reminds me of a comic book series I read at some point called The Haunted Tank, a story similar to Tramp in Armor but comic-booked up a bit. I picked up the story after they'd gotten separated from their unit and were operating independently.
