Got my ... fix

Post by stephan.cote.1 »

Thank you a thousand time A2A, although i didn’t have time to put my VR HMD on my head during lunch today, I could finally get my Mustang fix.. what a beauty in V4.. just the way the low fuel pressure warning light lit on engine startup made me realize this is going to be a “next level “ experience.. I missed that pure breed so badly.. now I can’t wait for the kids to be in bed tonight.. to bad my wife won’t agree on taking a sick leave tomorrow!

Lol! Well at least we don’t have to pay the avgas bill.. 45-60 gal an hour is pretty steep.. let alone the maintenance which I’m guessing must be at least a leg and a arm ..

Dudley? How bad is it to operate a mustang IRL nowadays in terms of cost?

I just did a 1 hour VR flight over the scottish Highlands... Unfortunately VR doesn't really show a picture yet that is comparable to a Screen, but it's such an amazing aircraft, looking that beautifully in VR... And the immersion is outstanding!

Thanks guys for finally :P bringing the Mustang to v4 :D

haha :D I'm sure if you asked Kermit Weeks he'd just laugh and say "you're rewarded with a P-51 for that!" :D

Vive for full VR experience in sims + all the other great games including full room scale ones (that double up as exercise no need for a gym!). Loving it!

I have the Oculus Rift. Overall it‘s a really good picture but of course it will take time for the development to reach an HD screen.

The most amazing point of VR in my opinion is the real 3D effect. You‘re absolutely sitting INSIDE this airplane, look around in real angles and ARE te pilot. You want to grab those controls and switches.

And you can‘t use all of those other things like maps, charts and so on with the native P3D VR. You need FlyInside for that but it won‘t work on my system yet. I get a DXGI Error hung every time. But I dien‘t have the time yet to find a solution...

But VR is so worth it.
