I wrote some articles on Wikipedia about Shockwaves sims.

This is the place where we can all meet and speak about whatever is on the mind.

I wrote some articles on Wikipedia about Shockwaves sims.

Post by JJB17463rdBombGroup »

First of all please don't be offended because I'm NOT a writer so the articles are crude and anyone can add to them(I recommend it because I need help improving the article feel free to pitch in or correct any errors).

I did a decent job about B-17 Flying Fortress (computer game) on Wikipedia because I took a lot of time and wrote 99 % of the article(Though I didn't start the article someone had just one little sentence).
I wrote a bunch of other articles about some other flight sims and added screenshots or added a screenshot of box covers for other peoples articles.
Here is my B-17 article
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B-17_Flyin ... er_game%29

O.K. I did a good job on this but I need help on these they are more of a rough draft really. Some screenshots would be most welcome if they are not too numerous(You have to create a free account which is easy to load pictures on the site).

I also wrote articles about EF2000 (computer game),Apache (computer game),Hind (computer game) ,1942:Pacific Air War and Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator WWII Europe series. These are also rough drafts too so far and very crude. But others will hopefully add to these flight sim articles.
I also added to B17 Flying Fortress(The warplane that is),added small features about the Apple Macintosh and added to some biographies.
Someone already started the article about Apache and had 2 games in there so there was nothing I could do about that.
I added screenshots and box cover scans to many other sim articles but I'm new to writing articles at Wikipedia.Don't be scared to pitch in I need some help please. It's not hard to do.All you have to do is use the edit this page tab on an article. You will quickly learn how to create links, add infoboxes and add screenshots.
Also I don't think any employee's at Shockwave should write these articles because I believe that would be a conflict of Interest but then again it might be O.K.
Just us flight sim enthusiasts should write these articles I think.
Just to let you know IL-2 Sturmovik has a Wikipedia article which so far is well written
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IL-2_Sturmovik_%28game%29

Wikipedia doesn't want any advertising so just be concise about the articles. Also create your own account there too they want writers, editors and translators.Plus you get a nice page also to boot.

You are welcome.I'm sorry these articles are so crude though.
The simulation articles have been redirected and renamed.
Here are the new links if anyone wants to add new details ,edits and screenshots to them.Use these rather than the first links that I presented.

Oops I just noticed that too. Sorry about that I made the correction and added several screenshots so far.
Check it out I added a lot to the BoB II WOV article.I wish someone else would have added to it as it is difficult when you're the only writer so far  I wrote so many articles I was bound to make mistakes.I'll be more careful next time around.
Check out this article. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macintosh_128K
Yes I am the owner of 2 working pre 6000 serial number Mac's.
Very few exist to this day.I had to write about other articles and perhaps you can see why. :)

I liked ricnunes idea about having piloted, copiloted bombers with bombsights in BoBIIWOV.Hey why don't you make another separate package to BoBIIWOV called Battle of Britain II Wings of Victory Luftwaffe Bombers with all crew positions available and a fully operational bombsight.Us bomber types would need BOTH BOBIIWOV packages for it to work.
