Lunar eclipse

Post by gulredrel »

Anybody missed the lunar eclipse last night?

Two imagedetails of my amateur pictures taken yesterday night during the lunar eclipse (old EOS 450 with a max 200mm multizoom and my EOS 760 with the 135mm focal length).

Nice pics Jens. :)

Sadly I missed it. Thick overcast here last night with just the occasional fleeting glimpse of a star or two. Typical, as for the previous week we've had beautiful clear skies over my part of the UK. Good for spotting planets and ISS passes after evening barbecues!

Cheers,
Nick

Lucky you, no rain worth mentioning here within the last twelve weeks I think.

What's that on the lower right photograph?
Is it a planet and what about the objects on the left hand side they look like ground object lights or something.
Very nice photo

It's Mars on the lower right.
To the left the green-red lights are from a passing plane cause exposure time was more than 2 seconds.
