Why not?

It looks amazing, and is brought on by a combination of different weather conditions (Humid+Hot weather+rapid change in air pressure and temperature caused by the blades= Condensation)

It would be quite interesting if it was modeled in Acusim, and would add that extra touch of realism

Very! It a very interesting spectacle to watch.

Might need to talk to the chaps at Old Prop Solutions. Makes more sense to have that effect on A2A birds than the Dash-8 they've done it on, where you can't see the effect!

True, It would be awesome to have on the A2A Warbirds!

You people REALLY need to get a life and fly where it is hot and dry all the time Then you don't need to worry about such things

Seriously, what a GREAT effect that would be! Although I have never seen it in real life. We think it is humid here if it gets above 20%

Here is a picture I took of Liberty Belle, two years before her final flight, with the propeller tip vortexes on outboard engines. This was at KBDR in 2010, and it was early morning so they could warm up the engines and get the oil moving before the first passengers and the press showed up. I would be lucky enough to earn a place on the final flight of the weekend and man what a blast that was.

Yeah, I have only ever seen this twice in real life. Would be interesting, although the 172s I fly never produce them (I know it does happen).

Wow, what a privilege! Here in New Zealand we don't get the big birds, biggest old-timer Iv'e seen here would be the RNZAF DC-3

It saddens me to this day that we lost such a piece of history, after that run up that morning, they had an oil leak in the #3 engine. The oil ran down the landing gear strut, onto, around and under the tire, leaving a perfect oil stain of her right main tire. It was still there 4 years later on the ramp right where she is parked in these two pictures. Even sadder, was that her next airport of call was, KBDR, sadly she never made it and put down in an Illinois corn field and burned to the ground, thankfully, no one was hurt or killed but, Liberty Belle was a total right off; though, there are rumors that the Liberty Belle Foundation is restoring her yet again.

That is sad, I hate seeing history go up in flames:(

But the news that it may take to the skies again is a nice glimmer of hope to have.
