A MIG 15! Hmmm. Do I sense the first steps in developing a Mig Alley-like sim? Add an F86 here, you guys have B29 and P51s already.

Actually Scott, these early jets are appealing to me, not only as a WoP addon, but would love to buy Korean war shooter sim.

Boys, what do you say?

Wow a post WWII era warbird. That's a first for Shockwave Productions.
They did have some experimental never built Luftwaffe craft in Firepower though.

Well Scott your comment tickles me pink with hope.
:D

I will always love prop birds (I have FirePower, BoB WoV, Il-2 etc) however it's refreshing to fly jet sims. In that genre I fly LOMAC/FC but I miss the visual contact and using guns only. Wings Over Viet Nam is okay (I love Phantoms) but it's a little on the arcade side. I thought I read on a thread somewhere (UBI, SimHQ?) that Oleg's new 1946 is a possible direction to a Korean War sim.

Anyway, I have a personal interest in the Korean theater because I was stationed in the 2nd Infantry Division (2nd Aviation battalon) and flew over DMZ in OH-58s. I was not piloting, just a scared look out.

Good luck to your future projects. You guys are a class act.

JJB17463rdBombGroup,

We've already ported one WoP aircraft to our BOB2 engine, and it's high priority for us to streamline this process as much as possible. We are continuing to make new aircraft for the future, and document along the way.

We are moving into jets more, but certainly have no plans or desired to stop making props. We're just expanding a bit here, and have some really great jet engine tech in our Absolute Realism process already (have been working on jets for some time now behind the scenes). Yes, doing a Korean war sim like Mig Alley is of interest to us.

Wow Scott :D ... Mig-15!!! I hope You remember too about Polish version of MiG: LIM-1, 2 and SB LiM (produced in Poland). Last time I checked many things about MiG-15 for Bill Wolfgen from Bear Studios (Flight1), for his model of MiG-15. Now, he does new service pack after some feedback for his MiG but always product of Shockwave has very good level of quality. Im very curious to see Your model of this famous fighter of begining of Cold War.

I was too at some of museums :D

Ok here You are my skins for LiM-2 (MiG-15bis) and SB LiM-2 (UTI Russian version), model of Bill. It will be in his Service pack

Woah YoYo those are beautiful screenshots the best that I have ever seen really.Incredible especially the terrain too. Those skins are really awesome too.Great job YoYo.
I was at a McChord airforce base show(2001) and they had a red painted Mig-15 there take off from the field and perform aerial acrobatics. It was great.I'll never forget that.
When I grew up in my small(5,000) population town of Fircrest(next to Tacoma) we had a F-86 fighter in our towns park.About 30 years ago they removed it which was a big shame I feel.

Thanks Scott that is very interesting.I will be looking forward to more of your supurb products(I have 4 of your retail boxed software) but I need to get yout Internet download aircraft sometime soon too. Then I'll have them all.

One of our modelers has access to a Mig15 in Poland. He also worked on Migs in the military for about 2 years. We should have more details on this as we get closer to putting it all together.

We're now working the gauges into the virtual cockpit and developing the new sound set based on our recent recording session of the Russian Klimov VK-1 engine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klimov_VK-1).

Once we get it into FS9 and get it flying, we'll post more shots.

This really makes my day. I'm so glad that you guys are still going to make planes for FS9 because I have no intention of getting FSX. I have FS9 running so good that there really is no reason for me to start all over with FSX. I have WAY too much invested in FS9 to get rid of it.

Heh, still FS9 is very good platform. I have FSX but I have with autogen and resized textures 15-25 fps, not enough for me. Flying with TIR 4Pro is very difficult. Without autogen 80 fps. Max details in FS9 I have always more than 28 fps in VC and with all my addons looks still very good. I dont want to buy new GF8800, new processor and DDR2 only for Bill Gates. Not now...

Can't wait!!!

Scott, I have virtually every plane for FS9 that you folks have produced, and intend to keep that record going. I'm totally addicted to the WOP Fighters package right now...

I can't wait to fly that MiG 15 down the Grand Canyon full throttle 50' above the river

YoYo,

We're still building the virtual cockpit, as can be seen by the development shots. I expect to have more shots to show in the coming weeks.
