Ok, so whats the fastest over the ground in FSX anybody has flown, and what was your frame rate?
Ryzen 7 5800X3D liquid cooled, OC to 4.5 ghz, Radeon XFX 6900XT Black edition, 2 tb M2 drive, 32 gb ddr4 ram, Asus Hero Crosshair VIII mother board, and some other stuff I forget exactly what.

I've never been into military jets in FSX/P3D but with the 747 I got 630 knots with a nice tail wind the other day :D

I used to fly the Alphasim SR-71 in FSX Gold, can't remember how fast but flat out I guess. Frame rate was fine but, the generated scenery could never keep up and would disappear pretty quick.

Hi Folks,

Actually - Brian Shul’s personal story is more fascinating than the speed story...

Scott

Hi,

I agree with Scott, Major Brian Shul’s story is very motivational, and I would recommend it to any one who hasn't
read or seen it. :)

Can't remember the exact figures - I guess I'll have to take her for another flight or two, but every time I flew Virtavia's XB-70 Valkyrie my groundspeed was routinely in excess of 1600 knots. I was saving fuel too at M2.7 rather than M3.0 at FL750 8) Framerate was great due to the altutude

EDIT - found a screenshot. This must have been a M3.0 run - 1768 knots over the ground  8)
