flying at 50 ROP

Post by awash2002 »

Can someone tell me what the pro's and con's are for flying at 50ROP EGT? or is 50 ROP the best cruise setting?

What are you trying to achieve? What is your altitude and what kind of power setting are you using?

Be careful with your temps there. You are still at relatively high power, with 50° ROP being kind of compromise mixture. Based on my testing with A2A planes, I think you are fine anyway, albeit I don' remember how hot the 182 tended to run.
