ATIS Question

Post by DatDudeMIC »

While I wait for the oil to heat in the 172

Does anyone know why the atis changes every 15 minutes in fsx or P3D? It should change every hour just like in real life.

In real life the ATIS can change much more frequently if weather is poor. I don't really use the FSX ATIS, so I don't know if it changes often in VFR or just in MIFR conditions as it would in RL.

ATIS in FSX/P3D changes whenever the weather updates. With some weather engine, it obviously depends on how you've set the update frequency.

yup sounds like your weather is variable and you have updates being injected in every 15mins

thanks,
