Oh man, my coffee-addled brain just thought: IF A2A comes out with a B-25 Mitchell , we'd simply have to fly off an aircraft carrier and bomb a certain target every April 18th! Wonder if Mustang can create a 1942 era CV-8? We'd also need that air strip where they practiced short-field takeoffs.

Re: A2A Development Update Dec 2017
Scott said we'd at least have an announcement by the end of the month if not an aircraft, Lewis said previously that we'd definitely have something by Easter. I think that if there were further delays that we would have heard so by now. When the Connie was released it was done in the middle of the night so the server wouldn't get hammered. I have a feeling we're going to wake up to a new aircraft tomorrow. I'm going to continue checking the forum every five minutes for the rest of the day though.

Shall see. With all the time that has passed I am almost more excited for just the announcement itself than whatever it actually winds up being. The anticipation is immense.

I've lost all hope for a March announcement. I don't even read this thread anymore. Really, I don't. I swear.

Doing better than me. I went and diced up potatoes to make potato salad for tomorrow, and now I am back to see if anything changed. Still no announcement though.

Re: A2A Development Update Dec 2017
With all of the time I spent looking at this forum there could have been some nice changes done to this house. But nope I am stuck glued to the forums and praying it won't be an April Fools joke. The girlfriend is pissed off because I haven't given her much attention this week..... does this make me an A2A addict?
Re: A2A Development Update Dec 2017
I did that two weeks ago. The "Late February/early March" window passed long ago.patful wrote:I've lost all hope for a March announcement. I don't even read this thread anymore. Really, I don't. I swear.
Re: A2A Development Update Dec 2017
While I think A2A does a tremendous job on their airplanes (if it works in P3D, I own it-- except for one), it's hard to understand the business logic of whipping everyone into frenzy and then going radio silent. However, it is by no means atypical in this industry... I think one's approach has to be that when something gets released, it gets released.
To me, a bigger problem are developers who proclaim they are working on a model, show early WIP shots, and then go silent on the project for years (which usually means forever). It would be nice to be proven wrong about one example of that on here in particular...

Guys, I have literally like around 4,000 models in my p3d. I bet you have some crazy number yourself. Stop with the waiting and go fly something and relax.

Nope: Eight. Five of them by our hosts. I have become somewhat more discerning since FSX... But I do share your sentiment.LouP wrote:Guys, I have literally like around 4,000 models in my p3d. I bet you have some crazy number yourself. Stop with the waiting and go fly something and relax.

I'm leaving my flight sim (cough) budget unspent until whatever it is is released, just in case...
