Flight1 GTN V2.02

Post by mikec »

Hi guys.

I just bought Flight1 GTN Complete (V2.02). It works fine with all my planes except the A2A 182, Cherokee and Commanche.

This new version's config routine recognises the A2A planes and assigns the GTN 750/650 to them. Problem is, FSX will CTD as soon as I hit 'Free Flight'.

If I use the A2A config executable for the planes and reset GPS to default, it will unflag them in the F1 config routine, and FSX works fine. The other planes I have all work OK with the GTN installed.

The version of the F1GTN.dll I have is dated Aug 30th at 9.05AM.

Has anyone else experienced this sort of problem with the GTN?

The problem appears to be between F1GTN.dll and the A2A planes. I have confirmed this by renameing the F1GTN.DLL to .OLD; FSX runs fine so do the A2A planes.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Lewis.

Yes. I am running it as admin. I have been in touch with Flight1 through their support forum. They sent me a DLL to create a log of what's going on. The new dll allowed FSX to run with the C182 however, the GTN panel was not showing. Apparently this is a new(er) version of the GTN where both the 650 and 750 are available as a single purchase and they can be configured through the F1GTN config routine.

I'm not sure where the problem lies.

Thanks,

Good to hear Mike, what was the issue so others with simply issues know what to do or where to look?

Hi Lewis.

I contacted Flight1 and they sent me two new DLL's - F1GTN.DLL and gtnInterface.dll. The service was great as it was resolved within 24 hours.

Thanks

aha, so it was just an issue with the GPS unit itself on your particular system?
