Guys, what about the updater on this page? When I run it, it still offers only FSX, P3Dv1, v2, v3, but no v4...

Yes, there is not updates for P3Dv4 at the time of this post, hence the updater having a date previous to the P3Dv4 releases.

Well, then... How to update A2A aircraft for P3Dv4 with all the latest fixes?

Yes, as I say there are no P3Dv4 product updates as of the date of this post. In the future any updates will be rolled out using the updater and a new post with a new date and download will be added to the updater thread as normal.

Well for my part I switched to P3D v.4 and I've experienced a significant performance boost. So far I would say it was really worth the move. I'm really happy to see that my A2A GA have already been updated for free, and I'm excited at the idea of getting a few of my old favorites in P3D v4 as well.

So next purchase for me will be the Connie as soon as it's available for v4 and I will gladly pay to fly again in the Piper Cub and the B17, which I both miss dearly.

Am I missing something here? If you haven't re-installed your old P3Dv3 A2A aircraft into P3Dv4, then how will it know how/what to update?

eh? I dont follow, why would someone install a v3 product into v4 which wouldn't work?

Heh! We may be at cross purposes (!!). I got the impression from your post that the new (P3Dv4-compatible) aircraft downloads weren't being offered to existing customers that bought the P3Dv3 version - and that the only way of updating the aircraft was via the usual A2A updater. I'm barking up the wrong tree, I suspect - wouldn't be the first time .

Yes, the update to the new P3Dv4 software is free for owners of previous P3D products but theirs no updates to these products at this time, hence no need for an updater to work in P3Dv4.

No worries, the great thing about forums is that once its questioned and answered its here for others to see rather than emails that are slower and means the same questions and answers are given over and over and over and over with no way for the circle to be broken.

Why am I starting to get an uneasy feeling about A2A and their updates?

Over the years from the days of Shockwave right through to A2A I have invested a lot of money in your aircraft. So far the developers of all the payware products that I own so have indicated that their updates will be done FREE of charge whether you own only the FSX version or the P3D version. I know several owners of A2A products who have gone straight from FSX to P3D V4. While they love flying their A2A aircraft they have indicated to me they will not be investing more money to have 2 models of the same aircraft on their computer.

The same applies for me also. Plus the exchange rate between the $A and the $US is so poor it does not make the investment viable.

They sell separate licences for FSX and P3D. Why would they suddenly offer free upgrades to FSX users just because a new P3D version was released?
