Reinstall FSX by using DeLuxe edition

I've been having the same problem for about 5 months. Microsoft won't let me activate, and they have stopped all support. I've been searching on the internet like you for a solution but will not mess with the registry either. Had it working fine until I loaded STEAM. added a SSD and switched to Windows10 all in quick succession. I don't know which one of them messed with it but I think that it was Windows10 . I'll follow this thread and hope you find a solution.
