Pick a car, any car!

Post by Brendan »

If you could choose 1 car to be your daily driver for the rest of your life, and could get it for free, never need any repairs and gas is free, what car would it be? I'd personally choose a 2016 Chevy Silverado 3500 HD, dually of course :D

Easy... 2015 Camaro Z/28. I would say the 2017 Camaro ZL1 but I think it's ugly compared to the previous-generation Z/28.

In distant 3rd place would be the Mustang GT350R.

Being a family man, I'll have the Audi RS6. Plenty of power, room for a road trip in the summer and the Quattro system if it snows..
Kind Regards
Tomas

My old MkII Golf GTi, 8v, with the big bumpers and six-spoke alloys... Loved that car... If I had it again I'd prefer it without the head gasket death this time please!!

I live in an area where if there's a cool new car model, you don't have to wait very long before they start showing up on the roads.

For the past few years, the one car that steals the show when everyone is stopped at a light is the Porche Panamera Turbo. Perfect blend of hotrod and luxury car.

If I could picked one it would be the Panamera Turbo S Executive.

I love the MX-5. I've got a black '97 Miata parked in my garage, just awaiting repairs

Hi Brendon.
Only thing i needed to do in my 9 yrs of owning it , was to fit a new softtop , as cracks where showing where it goes over the tops of the door window , an two new batteries , and about twice a year hand brake adjustment, and headlight bulb changes .

If it had to come from a car I owned, then it would be a '99 Isuzu Rodeo. I drove that thing everywhere all the time and had to put it down when it had around 280,000 miles. The engine still ran like a champ but the transmission was failing, the windshield had cracked, the muffler was rusted through all in, it just wasn't going to be worth the cost to repair all those items. It could haul a lot, I learned that it could safely ford about 2 feet of water during a hurricane where I stupidly found myself on low ground as water rushed in all around. It also seemed to have an invisible (but magnetic) armor because I can recall 4 occasions where a car slammed into me at a decent clip while I was stopped/parked. Each time there was barely noticeable damage to my car, in the form of scratches that I could polish off. The bumper did eventually shift position by a tiny amount where you could see the panel seams were not quite lined up, but that was it! Meanwhile 2 of those 4 cars were left in a state where they could not be driven away. It's too bad Isuzu's consumer vehicles division closed up shop in the US, I miss that car.

I wouldn't mind a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T.

Now, if it was any car... A V-8 Interceptor? :)

I'm pretty happy with my 1985 Volvo 240, looks good, decent MPG (28ish) and fun to drive (especially in winter!). I'd propably stick with it, the only other car I've been dreaming about is a Mustang (not really sure what year I want).
