Most recently been enjoying Project cars every Sunday online with a few guys and using my VR headset and then late Sunday early Monday morning some serious iRacing trying to learn and get my head around Oval racing which Ive managed to do and now thoroughly enjoy running 125 lap races etc with the league I'm in.

Which league Lewis? I too play iRacing, but I'm a road racer. You oval guys are impressive. You must be looking forward to the implementation of dirt tracks soon.

I used to race Live for Speed, still have my G25, but my race rig is looking more and more like a B-17G.... :D

Its a new league we just finishing up the season and preparing for the 2nd year and some big changes. You should def check it out. I am normally a road racer and I got into iRacing to get my head around Oval racing as I just didn't 'get' it. But I am now hooked and enjoy it greatly. Still experimenting with the many different car classes.

The league is run by twitch streamer rick here is the twitch and you can join his discord to chat etc;

I was into vintage PC Gaming (much of it in the mid to late 1990's era).
However with all the exercise I've been doing lately (3 hours per day 6 days per week to lose weight),
I have little time left over for it.
Besides I badly need to build a new capable rig for FSX maybe next year if possible.
I've been hit financially and very constrained so that I've had to postpone a lot of things that I need.

The Sims 4 lately.

Before that The Witcher series (played them in chronological order... again).

Hearts of Iron, Victoria 2, Crusader Kings 2 are my other usuals.
Haven't been in KSP for a while now.

If there's a petrolhead amongst you guys I strongly recommend Automation. It's an early access car tycoon game that heavily relies on you designing your own car, engine and other parts included, with considerable technical detail. There's an active community and there's no shortage of addons for the game in the workshop. It's tycoon bits haven't been implemented yet, but I've still been enjoying it simply designing my own cars (timeline between 1940-2016) for the last year. There's a an active community and "brands" on the forums designing and "manufacturing" their own marques. You can collaborate with expert engine makers and focus on the body if you'd like and vice versa.
Like I said; if you're a petrolhead this game is a must.

World of Warships (for lack of a proper WW2 ship simulator) and War Thunder are others I get into from time to time.

Oh, and speaking of older games. I love Silent Hunter 3 and 4. Especially with the various supermods enabled.

I don't know if it's because I'm getting older or what, but I can't game like I used to. For a couple years now I've just been flip-flopping between Flight Simulator and iRacing, and that's pretty much it.

Although, considering I've spent a fortune on each, I guess it makes sense :P

Kerbal Space Program is -40% on Steam, for whoever has been tempted by reading this thread, and wants to kill some time, say, before a Connie is made available ;)

EDIT: that disqualifies any member of A2A, since they have to keep working on it 24/7 :D

EDIT^2 (I know, I'm a messy guy sometimes): maybe on topic now,

Flying sim: enjoying DCS very much when I'm not handling A2A's aircraft, a bit of Falcon 4 + BMS, X-Plane
Racing sim: Assetto Corsa (which is fantastic), R3E (quite hectic), rFactor2 (the X-Plane of racing sims)

Non-sim: Neverwinter Nights, The Witcher series, some of Assassin's Creed, Thief (the original series of course, not the latest flop), oh and yes, Elder Scrolls from Morrowind to Skyrim and Fallout 3 (all of those probably took a big chunk out of my life, what a pity)

There seems to be a pattern here.
Most like to play games as real as they get, unsurprising all in all, given this is the forums of A2A (get it? :D )

For those looking for something different with an awesome story, I'd recommend "Life Is Strange".
I've finished it about a week ago and cried like a little girl for almost 30 minutes at the end (and also in the middle bit where... you know what, I won't spoil it). It's been one of the best games I've ever played in my entire life. It's very unique is what I'll say, otherwise I'll blabber about it for days.

I'm now going to start the Walking Dead. I've stayed away from it for so long because I thought it was the game of the TV show.
Nope, turns out it's actually based on the original comic books and if metacritic and so to be believed, quite awesome.

If you guys would like more good story driven games I can name Alan Wake as one of the best out there (for PC). It's a psychological thriller that nothing else bested for me yet. L.A. Noire is there for film noir enthusiasts.
If you have PS3 -PS4, The Last Of Us and Heavy Rain should do you good.

In the upcoming releases Detroit: Become Human looks very promising. As well as Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding, even though we have no idea what it is yet (if you know who Hideo Kojima is, you'll understand why I'm so confident it'll be a success).

Now that those are done, an update on Automation;
The developers (like 3 Australian petrolheads who can code) recently came out with an update that finally introduced a "lite campaign" mode. It's a tycoon game after all. So if anyone out there is deeply interested in the technical aspects of cars and periodically find themselves romanticising about vintages and whatnot, this is still your game, with a campaign mode to boot now.

And because I'm such a good guy, here are the trailers for the games mentioned:

There might be something there :D

Best if it feels real, even with fantasy in it - but that's probably also related to loving old birds of another era ;)

I've been tempted by Life is Strange, but could resist so far. Maybe for the holidays. Thanks for the trailers!

Oh, I forgot to mention the very good Dishonored, and the 2nd installment is coming soon \o/

I was going to mention it and then forgot :D
Good thing you were here.

It's not very long if I'm honest. About 10 hours tops.
Which is fine by me, some of the best games I've played have been the short kinds.

It's episodical and there are 5 episodes. I think they sell them all together now.
Anyway, you won't regret it I give you my word.

And you're welcome :D

I finished the first Portal in about 3 hours, it was some of the best 3 hours ever spent in a game. A lot of time, less is more. Playing a lot of Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 right now. I actually bought FIFA 17 also this year, first time I bought a FIFA game since FIFA 2001 (yes, THAT long). Worst money spent on ANY game this year, I don't know where to begin really but I haven't felt this ripped off since I bought "Thirty Flights of Loving" for like 2€ a few years back. If you like PLAYING football games (soccer for Americans), do NOT buy FIFA 17. If you enjoy menues, licences and playing cards(?!) get FIFA 17.

Oh right, Portal! Those were great, very interesting puzzles in a funny package :D
