This thread is rad! I love it.
It's so fun to see and I can only imagine what an A2A meeting will be like talking about it.

 I have to say I've been in line with Meatycus. (Cool name btw) He's been gettin deep.

Well, whatever it's not might be next

I'm sure the A2A guys get a good kick out of reading through those threads! I bet Scott and Lewis are responsible for half the views of this thread

The Virgo = Constellation is just too easy and simple, knowing A2A they will put a bit more into it

Virgo = Virgin = not done in FSX as payware before = DC7
Virgo = the symbol of the maiden is based on Astraea. In Greek mythology, she was the last immortal to abandon Earth at the end of the Silver Age = DC7 was the last major piston engine-powered transport made by Douglas = DC7
Prop airliner = fits the "Captain of the ship" format perfectly = DC7
DC7 Wingspan = 127ft = fits perfectly in the vacant spot on the ground = DC7

DC7

I like the way you are thinking but isn't virgo as a star sign related to "Earth" > so "seven seas" would not exactly fit?

Good point marijn

Its also quite possible the Virgo angel is a 'troll' item to throw us off

Checking some older threads, Scott likes the Connie, and Lewis is a DC- fan and has made a few 'mmmmm' noises a number of times when DC-'s are mentioned

I like the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_307_Stratoliner idea too

That symbol in the reserved box could simply be a bit of misinformation specifically to f*ck with us...

There is a lot of laughter at A2A right now...

Joe

Edit: Meatycus, we are thinking on similar lines it seems!

So this weekend I can go to the A2A shop and get B377 with Accu Sim for 50% off ?

Do we know the time it starts ? Is it GMT ? or something else ?

So when it says "New Captain of the ship aircraft + 50% off COTS"

I read this as
The B377 with COTS is 50% off AND there is a new Aircraft that will have Captain of the Ship as well

Yes ?

Hopefully not a 4-engined aircraft. I think for the majority of us, that would simply be too impractical for a sim pilot who is trying to make things realistic!
I have absolutely no interest if it has any more than 2 engines

But others do. I hope it is another 4 Engine plane. I know an F4 Phantom was on the cards but that was a while ago and not really appropriate for a COTS so it must be a big plane :)

Avro Lancaster ??????? Please please please

Well, assuming it's an airliner, a Lancastrian would be good.

The planes on the airfield are arranged to look like the Boeing-logo from the 1920s: So my guess is, that it will be a B-307 Stratoliner...

Yes that's how I understand Scotts post. B377+COTS is 50% off over the weekend and there will be a new product with Captain of the ship Addon announced. In his original post Scott said the product is close we to being released into Beta testing.

Exciting isn't it?

Regardless of the exact "Parallel Airliner" to be announced, my take away from this is the update to COTS, which should be an indicator of the advancement of Accusim in regards to multi-engine future offerings. Another look into the evolution that is Accusim.

Thumbs to the eyes of other wannabe accusimesque offerings, timing, marketing ploys, or trivial things all put away, A2A is confident enough to step back, update an Accusim package that for many was the ideal airliner experience and offer another plane to that experience. No other developer has Heidi and her "charm", a flight engineer that sounds absolutely disappointed when he has reached his last call out "flaps down", or 4 tempermental engines working independently with a seemingly devilish desire to ruin your flight

And now we get another potential monster to learn to love.
