I'm at work contemplating getting this wonderful bird when I get home tonight but something is seriously missing from my sim pit. I still only have a yoke to fly with and no stick... hoping you all would give me a pass and not think to badly of me if I fly her with a yoke? hahaha!!
All kidding aside, I think I'm more pumped to get the T-6 than I was about the Comanche when it was released.

I think you should be good to go with the yoke
Enjoy the T-6! Just finished my first flight and it is awesome! A lot to learn but that's why we all love Accusim right?!

Flying the Texan with Yokes...Yikes!!
And I am flying my Cherokee with a stick...doesn't matter as long as you can manage.
Though a snap rolling might become a bit awkward...spinning that wheel like a maniac.
Now it's time to chock the lady and hit the bunks!
G'night, Everyone!

I used a yoke during the entire development. I loaded a few sticks along the way, but the yoke is fine.

Myself YOKED ! if I'm working with artwork I simply slide the monitor around and being a 'lefty' all the quad is the opposite side and give me a clean desk to work on.

Been thinking about a yoke myself... I'm doin an X55 Rhino setup myself. Most important thing about the Texan - mind the carb heat lever! Let's just say that carb icing is VERY well modeled (hangs head in shame)

I have used a yoke for every aircraft for years. But in May we are going to move to a bigger flat and there I will mount a joystick on a second chair just between my legs like you have your aircraft's stick down there

I use an Obutto gaming cockpit with the center mounted stick setup... it adds a LOT of fun and realism to flying fighters and helicopters! It's the best ~$500 I ever spent in PC gaming.MarcE wrote:I have used a yoke for every aircraft for years. Had never heard of Obutto. That looks really well designed - and the price is much lower than what I would have expected. Am going to have to take a serious look at it. Thanks for the tip!molleh wrote:I use an Obutto gaming cockpit with the center mounted stick setup... it adds a LOT of fun and realism to flying fighters and helicopters!
