You have to substitute the www with the dl! Not add it. I replied to your post in the other thread with a altered link.

An interesting development on Photobucket image hosting, and potentially good news (at least in the short term) for those like Killratio and Raceguy who have created large threads with many Photobucket-hosted images documenting their hard work: https://globenewswire.com/news-release/ ... Trust.html. :)

Embedding a Youtube video: UPDATE

Just a little update on embedding YouTube videos.

As the A2A website and forum now uses the "https" protocol, embedded YouTube videos must now use the same format:

Code: Select all

It's still necessary to use the full YouTube page link from the browser address bar and not the shortened "https://youtu.be/" version. The initial post in this thread has been updated to reflect this change.

Thanks,
Nick

Hello Nick and Mark,

After the update, the forum does not seem to parse the youtube open and close tags anymore. Could you please advise how to share youtube videos?
I just posted the video url with https as it is, in may latest post and it is displayed as a url.

Hi Vladi,

Seems to be working okay here. I just edited the post you linked above with an embedded YouTube link formatted in exactly the same way as before.

Code: Select all

Can you see that vid in your post now, and if not, which browser are you using?

Cheers,
Nick

Hello Nick,

Thank you for making this test for me! In Chrome 73.0.3683.75, I see your edit and the video as it should be if the tags are used. However I do not see it at all under Firefox 65.0.2.
I see only the line "Edit: added by Nick". I have disabled the popup blocker, restarted the browser, cleared saved data, cookies and even flushed my dns.
Apparently it is a browser issue with Firefox since I seem not have any issue in Chrome. Will keep on testing, very strange!

Hello.
Has Dropbox changed things again? None of my DB images are showing but download links are working fine. This just started a couple days ago.

This is the code I've been using for a long time. I can paste the link into my web browser and it loads image just fine.

Code: Select all

https://www.dropbox.com/s/8n901ynztmkftxi/FireDancerP3D.jpg?raw=1
However, if I put that same link in using the Insert Image option I get this

Image

Thanks
Roger

Hmm, no it just shows a small image icon. Must be my browser then. Thanks for the reply. I'll look into it on my end.

Thanks, I like it too 8)

Ok, so I checked from my Android and image links work. I then checked on Edge and links work. So what has changed with Chrome that Dropbox image links have stopped working? More investigating I guess :(

EDIT:
That investigation went fast. The culprit was DuckDuckGo on Google Chrome. I white listed A2A and all is good.

Sorry, another edit. I also white listed Dropbox.
