The picture was taken by another club member at our aerodrome. I love it.

Re: A bit of spring
Very nice! Of course it would be even nicer if you tell us which aerodrome this is

Our world is a beautiful place, it's always great when we get images of it that make us smile.
I guess that would be Pattonville Airport (EDTQ) located in Pattonville, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. I needed to look it up because, I guess, unlike everyone else I have not been able to memorize every airport ICAO code in the world.

Great pic, Marc, thanks for sharing!
Airport Codes.com has codes for over 47,000 airports worldwide: https://www.world-airport-codes.com/
I have maybe like 15 of them memorized, if that. I like knowing the history behind some of the odd ones. For example, Spokane International's code is KGEG because it was originally called Geiger Field.

Spring? Not as I remember it. Must be one of those 'New World Order' springs.
Great picture though.

Re: A bit of spring
LOL sorry, I had Google in mind indeed Yep it's Pattonville, about 10nm north of EDDS, Stuttgart in southern Germany. It's a former US airfield, 670m asphalt runway and a slightly longer grass runway. It was in US hands until 1993, since then it has been run by local clubs. US troops stationed some Pershing missiles at the airfield.jeepinforfun wrote: ↑11 Apr 2024, 13:05 Our world is a beautiful place, it's always great when we get images of it that make us smile.

Using the Google Maps replacement in MSFS it's a great approach since we don't have a standard circuit for noise abatement reasons.
