Weekend wedding

Post by Point-man »

Well guys and gals. As some of you know this coming Sat is the big day for me. I just wanted to give a little post and update on the info. For those the do not know what is going on I'll tell you. I am getting married this Sat at the Lone Star Flight Museum. We are having a WWII themed wedding with all the fixin's. I have an original 8th airforce uniform with complete felt patch and all. We are having all 40's music from Glen Miller, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, etc. Today I found out that the B-17 is in fact going to be our center piece that we will be married under the nose of surrounded by fighters. Tar Heel Hal P-47, Putt Putt Maru P-38, plus the B-25, spitfire, and more surrounding us. It's going to be a great day! Before I wasn't so worried about anything but now that the day is finally getting here the ol gitters are kreepin in... hehe I have even gone to the trouble of having my great uncles shoes re-done that he wore in WWII. They looked like he walked about 1000 miles in them but they look like they just came out of the box now. He was a B-17 tail-gunner in the war and then went on to be an instructor. Sadly he was killed in an accident when the B-17 he was on hit a mountain. I'll be sure to post pics of the wedding and all that good stuff... Talk to you all soon...

Take care,
Point

Hmmm now I'm really confused.

I don't know whether to sound Taps for you for bitin the bullet or to play a lil happy song since you'll be surrounded by all those neat aircraft, and the simple fact that you got the lil woman to buy into it.

Congratulations.
