WOP2 Bf-109E resurrected

Mig_Driver mentioned in another thread that he is flying the A2A's Messerschmitt 109 a lot. This got me interested so I reinstalled WWII Fighters, updated to 1.2 then applied the FSX fix. Wow! This is a great aircraft! I'm still getting used to altitude in kilometers and airspeed in kmh but what a blast. Here's some shots over Dover.

Oh yeah, it's fun as heck to fly, and Huub Vink is one of my favorite repainters. Great shots mate!

Ain't she just sweet? And I love how low you can get the prop rpms to to cruise. I just wish there was a key binding to open the filter door on the tropical model. Couldn't find any reference in the manual.

Nah, not really

Anyhow, this really is a great bird. I just got it in the sale, but after sorting the lib order for ORBX EU England and openLC Europe and now getting the FSX Patch for the Messerschmitt from this thread, I am extremely happy with this one! Also makes a very nice complement to the Taifun sitting next to it in the Hangar...

Have enjoyed the fully FSX-native updated Bf-109E as well for several years now. Here are some shots from some recent flying with the A2A Spitfire 1.

And some shots of the Flying Heritage Collection Bf-109E and Fw-190A (both Huub Vink repaints - for the A2A Bf-109E and the Classics Hangar Fw-190A).

Very nice Bomber_12th! I wish A2A would do the Fw190 Anton's. I love the Classics-Hangar version, but it's no A2A masterpiece.

Wow guys, those are some stunning shots! I had the Bf-109E on my last computer, and only transferred Accusim planes when I reinstalled FSX on my new rig a couple of years back... Maybe I'll have to see if it is possible to get my downloads reset or if it was too long ago (plus I used an email address which has since been closed)...

How does Accufeel make the Emil seem? Any wind sound from the sliding window?

Not in my install. There also seems to be a time lag for engine rpm sound when I shut the throttle, although it does seem to settle down after a while. Also, I still get an annoying high pitched whine/ringing sound on a fully closed throttle. This happens inside and out randomly.

Steve.

Hi Mig_Driver,

I ran an Lvar list hoping to find a way to control the fuel cutoff switch and master ignition but so far no joy. The filter door, is that only on the tropical variant?

I still use mine as well - indeed that's exactly the aircraft I built Caffiers for, then got the yellow-nosed FW190 living there too. :)

I have the WoP FW190 stationed as AI at my local station, EGFP, painted as the one flown by Oberleutnant Armin Faber. He landed at RAF Pembrey by mistake. Evidently he mistook the Bristol Channel for the English Channel. He got quite a surprise when he was apprehended by the Duty Pilot holding a Very pistol.
