I notice that with a first post one joins the board as an Airman Basic. Just curious: how do you get promotion?

Re: Promotions
It's a forum software feature based on the number of posts made (more posts = higher ranking) but some are reserved for staff use only (like mine for instance).

And hence we have a boat load of posts that have absolutely no substance, or differ in content than so many other posts before them.

This post contains no valid information whatsoever. I just forgot what rank I am and wanted to find out.

Re: Promotions
Well, crap!
I had to report to A2A Sims HQ and stand before the board -- in full uniform! -- and answer questions about American Presidents from 1776-1900. I thought that was pretty wierd, especially when Capt. Jakey kept firing off question after question about James K. Polk and scribbling my responses in a spiral notebook. Why so much interest in James K. Polk??? A few weeks later my stripes arrived in the mail along with a cryptic note that The Captain had gotten an 'A' on his history report...
So seriously, you guys didn't have to drive to Connecticut before each promotion? And bring a full set of encyclopedias?

Re: Promotions
"Battle of Britain Developer's Group" I believe. It refers back to a modding community that formed ten years ago to improve "Rowan's Battle of Britain." The Rowan's version was officially overhauled five or six years ago by A2A and released as "Battle of Britain II: Wings of Victory." BDG continues developing tweaks and new content for the A2A version.

This has to be the comedy post of the year so far, well thought out and a perfect answer to the original question I can just see Captain Jakey doing that aswell, made me laugh, really did.Skycat wrote:Well, crap!

Laughing at witty replies. Considering posting smiley, then dismissing consideration. Pondering what to say next.
