Avro Lancaster
Hey guys...just found this site and joined. I did a search, but has or is the Avro Lancaster something been done by A2A? Thanks.

Re: Avro Lancaster
G'day mate,
welcome here. How is your Lanc going?
No plans for a Lanc as far as I know and there are a fair few aircraft in line before more are added. Have a look at the October update if you haven't already,
regards
Darryl

Re: Avro Lancaster
No lancaster has been made by A2A, and no announcement has been made to create one. Currently, they are working on a Spitfire, P-51, F4 Phantom and the F-104 Starfighter, all accusimmed. Have a look at the october update as Kill allready stated, it's all in there. Make sure you have some kind of towel nearby
Oh and off course: Welcome to this community! Hope you enjoy the A2A products!!!!!!

Hold up fellas ... Back for FS9 in the bombers package, A2A (then Shockwave) did market a lanc.
They have one, its a matter of updating for FSX ..

True snuffy
But to be honest: I don't care about fs9
I doubt it's just a "matter of updating" though...

Re: Avro Lancaster
I would never suggest that A2A Simulations and Aeroplane Heaven are in the same league, but if you're looking for a Lancaster I saw just last night that the August/September issue of PC Pilot is offering AH's Lancaster as freeware on the cover CD. My local bookstore still has that issue and hasn't received the November/December issue yet so you might still be able to find the Aug/Sep issue as well if you act quickly.
And yes, before A2A Simulations changed its name from Shockwave Productions, it did release a pack of FS2004 bombers that included two B-17 variants, a B-24, a B-29 and a Lancaster. This product was basically reissued in the early days of FSX as "FSX compatible" models as part of the Aircraft Power Pack; however, subsequent FSX service packs have interfered with the compatibility of these port-overs. Amazon product page.

Re: Avro Lancaster
Aircraft Power Pack 2 was the reissue of "WWII Fighters Special Edition" (ie, the Wings of Power II Spitfire, Bf109E, P-47D, and P-51D...not sure if the A6M was included though) and single variant of the P-40. It also had the Sky Defender game included.

Re: Avro Lancaster
Hey what if A2ASimulations came out with a Aircraft Factory Lancaster III or a WOP II Lanc?
Any interest in that you guys?
Sure it would be better to have an accu-sim one (perhaps later on) but it would be a nice start.

Re: Avro Lancaster
Maybe after the Spitfire? They will have the Merlin sorted out - just the airframe to do!
Best regards,
Robin.

Re: Avro Lancaster
Maybe now that they've got Accu-Sim modularized, future aircraft can be developed faster. It'd be cool if they could use the Spitfire/Mustang Merlin and drop it into a Lancaster like Robin suggested.
All the best - flyboy4612
