In the future?

Isn't it the last A2A release?

Bennito,

The only engine in the recent WOP series P-47s is the R-2800, I know that's true for the WOP3 FSX Jug with Accusim released a few months ago and the support forum for the WOP2 version shows the same thing. There was an R-4360 version of the Jug known as the P-72 Thunderbolt. The histories I found on a quick search show that there only a couple prototypes built. There was one in the original WOP1 package.

The XP-72 model was part of an early FS2004 bundle that also included bubble topped P-47D variants, a P-47M and a P-47N. The package was never officially made FSX compatible but if you have FS2004 also installed you can port the planes over to FSX.

Since a true FSX w/ AccuSim version would mean a 'from scratch' rebuild of the model, I think it is unlikely we'll see a new A2A XP-72 released in the foreseeable future. I'm just a spectator though...

It is not out-of-the-question for us to make a bubble top P47 and even a XP-72 someday, but not in the near future.
