You can take off and land vertically if the wind is strong enough in a cub.

I set FSX to a blizzard in Alaska flying the default cub and when I reduced power to land, I was getting pushed backwards.... But that is one heck of a video nonetheless, and if anyone replicates that takeoff in FSX, Id love to see it!

I've seen Cubs take off vertically, backwards, and (relative to the runway) sideways.
They're neat airplanes and are one reason I can't wait to get the A2A one.
