Issue with Accusim Updater 10_12_17

Hi,

I've never had any problem updating Accusim aircraft before. But this time, I can't locate the actual updater program.
I have Windows 10 and P3Dv4.1
I downloaded the Updater zip file, unzipped it, ran the .exe file as an Administrator, and it apparently installed correctly into my D:\Users\username\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2A folder. However, when I go to that folder, I just see 6 subfolders (A2A, Effects, Fonts, Gauges, Scripts, SimObjects) and an add-on.xml file.
I can't find the actual updater file to run. What am I missing or doing wrong?

Hi Paul,

I am not sure, to what actual updater you are referring, after you have downloaded, unzipped and ran the .exe file of Accusim Updater 10_12_17.
If you have done those three steps without errors, you have installed the latest updater.

you might want to double check what you are downloading and opening as it doesn't sound like the updater.

Hi guys,

Just ran through the process again.
a) I downloaded the zip file from Scott's original "Accu-Sim Update 10_12_2017 DOWNLOAD" post.
b) Unzipped the file.
c) Ran the A2A_Update_10_12_17.EXE file as Administrator. Installation Wizard runs.
d) Selected the P3D V4 radio button.
e) Chose Destination Folder D:\Users\username\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2A\.
f) Next window reads "Start Installation. You are now ready to install A2A Update (10/12/2017). Click the Next button to begin the installation..." Click Next.
g) Next window reads "The A2A Update (10/12/2017) is completed. .... Click the Finish button to exit this installation. Click Finish.
h) I navigate to the D:\Users\username\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2A\ folder... and I don't see an updater file...

Where might I have erred?

You have noted, you already ran the updater. There is nothing else to do or search for.

other developers might have an actual update app, such as Flightbeam or PMDG. But A2A offer .exe files that ARE the update. It looks for the airplanes you have installed and updates them. You are fine =)

The only "downside" if you will is the fact that you have to look for new updates yourself in this forum as there is no notification.

I remember when I ran the previous updaters over the years, it would scroll through each Accusim plane (with plane image), check its version, and then either update it or skip to the next plane. I guess this updater did all that behind the scenes.

No, it didn't have to do that as the P3D v4 release includes all the patches. The October fix is applied to a single file for P3Dv4.1+ nosewheel steering compatibility.
