I agree with you kubanskiloewe after listening to and watching those files. You need to tweak on that sound pack some more Scott.
Great video, I think maybe that should be the next Shockwave effort too. And I can see in 2 minutes of film footage why so many of those were crashed in landing accidents jeez.

Scott,
The demo sounds are great with the turbo noise. I assume that the turbo noise will vary with rpm.
Another small problem. On the Ta aircraft the cowl control does not seem to work. It looks like a wheel and should rotate one way or the other and I can't get it to move at all. Please help ?

That is just right, Krazy. The Shockwave sound packs were made in actual aircraft (P-51D, P-47D, etc.) with very high-quality professional grade microphones and recording equipment, and will sound quite different than a recording made with a hand-held video camera.Krazy wrote:Your not taking into consideration the sound can only be really determined by actual recording with microphones that aren't made to filter certain freq's....such as generic video camera mic's...

You could try to fiddle with the gamma settings of yout video card. With this, you can make dark parts of the screen brighter. It will affect all dark parts, but is easy and quick to test.Jib01 wrote: In 3D mode when the Sun is not at your back, the cockpit is extremely dark and even turning on the lights does not help too much.
Osram,
Hi guy. My Nvidia drivers for my card does not have a gamma adjustment.
BTW, have you tried changing the latency of vidio cards to get BOB to run smoother ?

Fw190D sound
Hello folks
the D13 (Yellow 13) from Doug Champlins was running in the past.
May be the sound was recorded.
The engine is a Jumo 213C with some 2240 PS.
The sound must be different to the DB601/603/605.
3250 RPM and a big prop.

you´re right the Jumo did 700rpm more than the DB´s.
And another thing to notice is that the DB603 in HE219 and TA152C had 44,5 litres capacity instead of 36 ltr which had the Jumo 213A or E and DB605´s !
It´s roaring must be much heavier or deeper in the sound than the other´s ?
Unfortunately there is no running DB603 in the world....
