Great pics red, sorry we did not get to land together. I had a major computer crash. I did a reboot but, you were gone when I got back. :(
Good flying with you as always. :D

Had to come find some P-47 info and I just saw these.

That's some close in flying in a couple of those shots guys. Good work!

I'm doing my first long haul in the P-47 this evening and needed to come over here to the P-47 room to see if I could learn how to make my flashing turbo light stop. :)

FAC 257 do not worry when it is flashing everything is ok. When it is steady then worry; ease throttle off until it is flashing again. Hope this helps.

Thanks!

It didn't take but a second to find that info last evening in here when I started looking. As a challenge I've tried two times now to make it from PHNL to PMDY with one drop tank. The first flight I had to abort realizing I needed to know a little more than I did about engine and fuel management in the P-47. The second attempt this morning almost worked. I had to splash her about 100 miles short of Midway. I ran out of fuel. I think the 45+ head wind did me in. I almost made it to a tiny lttle featureless island 100 miles from Midway that was on the flight path.

I decide if I had made the island I would have sent a PBY from Midway and hitch a ride the rest of the way. :)
