BoB not responding

Post by hiz »

Hi there!

Just installed my BoBII again and noticed a huge problem. The game isn't responding to ANYTHING unless in a windowed mode. No joystick, no TIR, no keyboard. This is particularly annoying, since I can not exit the bloody thing in any other way but pushing the on/off button. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Better lets know what you are running. Pc spec's and OS. do you have a wide screen monitor?

Also exactly what you did?

Did you install 2.08 and Hot Fix#3?

Thanks Buddye! The resolution is the problem. If I try to run the game with my desktop resolution (1280X1024, so no wide screen), the controls go dead. Any other resolution is just fine. Strange.

If it is to any interest to anyone, here are some specs of my machine:

Windows XP Home Edition SP3
Intel C2D E4600 @ 2.4GHz
NVIDIA 8800GT

I've installed the 2.08 and the hotfix.

That's very strange, hiz. Each and every PC is different, but quite why screen res should have an effect is strange.

btw, the latest set of patches are HERE-> http://www.a2asimulations.com/forum/vie ... 10&t=11937
Guesss you might have seen it.

That is very strange. I run 1600x1200 and I use the setting:

Options->GFX Use Windows Desktop Resolution(Recommended) = ON. Is this what you are running as well?

Or did you have to choose another resolution?

I had to choose another resolution, so I went down to 1028x960 and turned OFF "Use Windows Desktop Resolution".

My normal resolution is 1280x1024. Not really a huge problem, but curious still.
