Soak,

What model are you experiencing this with?

All of the models have the same problem. No panel light in the VC mode. When I hit the L key in the VC mode the panel lights don't come on. The navigation and landing lights work. I tried the switch on the right hand side (VC cockpit) for panel light and still no go. Anyone else having the same problem or is it something I'm doing wrong?

It wasn't a joke, Soak.
Could you confirm you can't see the light at night? In-game night?

regards

The VC cockpit light is not very bright, as it would be in reality. Have you tried it at night?

Ah, wait a minute. Try this:
In FS2004, go to SETTINGS / DISPLAY / HARDWARE and look at the HARWARE LIGHTS slider at the bottom.

Tried it at night ...yes of course. Went into hardware settings and max them out too. I find it very difficult to read the gauges in low light conditions in the VC with TrackIR vector expansion. Tried my other planes...no problem there so it isn't my PC or game settings. I think the light in the VC light could be pointed the wrong way. Oh well I'm sure you will sort it out with an update.
Don't get me wrong ......I like the plane. Just thought this light thing should be pointed out.

Soak,

Email a screenshot to [email protected]. We're seeing a beautiful cockpit light. You can see some shots posted in the store too with it on.

This is strange happening on two different systems. Any specific info would be a help.

Yea, I have the cockpit light turned on, and it is visible in the 2d mode. When I switch to the VC, everything is dark. I have the lights in the hardware section all the way to the right, but still nothing. My gx card is an ATI x800xt. I think it is the effects file, but i guess we'll see. Maybe I should try a reinstall?

Which plane version is this happening in? I have a ATI X800 XT and mine was dim too, changed to this in [lightss] section of aircraft.cfg:

LIGHT.0 = 4, -3.500, 0.000, 2.800, fx_vclight,

or,

LIGHT.0 = 4, -3.500, 0.000, 2.800, fx_vclighth,
