A2A Bonanza V Tail
A2A Bonanza V Tail
For some reason unknown to I cannot get this aircraft to get enough speed to takeoff, it just moves rather slowly down the runway. I have run it through hanger and done repairs and overhaul made sure all the proper settings are in place but cannot get speed up.
Re: A2A Bonanza V Tail
It helps to troubleshoot if you provide more information, like which sim you use (FSX or P3DvX ) as well as any hardware, such as rudder pedals that can also action your brakes…. otherwise we’re just throwing wild guesses into the mix!
Re: A2A Bonanza V Tail
Okay, I'm using FSX/Acceleration in MSI desktop PC and using alternating Honeycomb Aeronautical Yoke & Throttle and Saitek X52 Flight Control System.
Re: A2A Bonanza V Tail
Are you getting full MP and RPM on takeoff? I am thinking along the lines of calibration of the throttle/prop/mixture levers not getting to 100%.

Re: A2A Bonanza V Tail
Here is the interesting fact, all of my other aircraft respond perfectly but not the Bonanza. While all the panel levers are set for takeoff the engine throttle does not get anywhere near maximum allowing for takeoff, the aircraft just slowly moves down the runway. I've even set it to AutoStart expecting something different, same results every time. Mystified?

Re: A2A Bonanza V Tail
Just to confirm, when you say the engine throttle does not get anywhere near the maximum for takeoff, does that mean the lever in the virtual cockpit (as opposed to the physical lever on your Honeycomb) does not move all the way in? Or does the lever go all the way in but you're not getting full manifold pressure (something near 30" if you're at sea level)?
Edit: and also your version of the plane is fully up-to-date (you ran the software updater app thing)?

Re: A2A Bonanza V Tail
The throttle lever(s) physically on the hardware go all the way as does the throttle in the aircraft but the result is NOT full power for takeoff. . . .
Re: A2A Bonanza V Tail
Have you checked the maintenance hangar and verified everything is in good condition?

First thing checked.
Re: A2A Bonanza V Tail
Sorry, I'm confusing threads, I see you did check that. As was asked by ClipperLuna, when you do a static runup to full power, what MAP and RPM are you seeing?

Re: A2A Bonanza V Tail
Do you start the sim using a default aircraft at a default airport? Or do you load straight in to the Bonanza? I don’t see this mentioned elsewhere and so I ask because sometimes loading directly into A2A aircraft can lead to some odd consequences. This may, or may not be the cause, but its worth mentioning for the future, once this does get sorted!
Re: A2A Bonanza V Tail
I start with the Bonanza, but I have tried the other way the results are the same.

Not to complicate things by throwing too many ideas out at once, but did you check to see if there's water in your fuel? I recall a 172 pilot here had that problem awhile back and it gave similar symptoms.
