COM 2 with Flight1 GTN650

Post by MaxZ »

Hi everyone!

Coming back to P3D after a while, I decided to fly my A2A GA fleet for a change and noticed on all of them that with the GTN650 or 750 in place it is not possible to tune a COM2 frequency on the KX155 (for the V35 that is. Respective COM2 Radio in other Aircraft). Tuning a Frequency, be it COM1 or NAV1, on the GTN also changes the freq on the second radio set and vice versa. What am I doing wrong?

What I have tried so far:
  • Reinstalling the aircraft
  • Updating the aircraft
  • Reinstalling the GTN650 and GTN750
  • Restarting my PC
  • Updating the Flight1 Software
  • Updating the navdatabase
  • Updating P3Dv4 itself
Thank you very much in advance,
Max

Hi Max,

It sounds like something may be misconfigured in the F1 GTN settings. It's been a while since I've used the F1 products, but there should be a tool which allows you to set which NAV and COMM radios the units are assigned to. These settings are then stored in the F1GTN.ini file for the Bonanza.

I seem to recall the configurator for the F1 products is accessed via their folder in the Windows start menu rather than an in sim option. Could you have a look and see how this is currently set?

Thanks,
Nick

You we're right Nick. Going into the GTN Configuration tool solved it. first I suspected that I had the GTN Configured to work as COM2/NAV2, however what solved it was to just "un-GTN" the aircraft and then "re-GTN-ing" them.

Thank you!
