Gents, I'm having a hard time with my A2A aircraft, both the 182 and Bonanza, mostly the Bo with my gauges glitching (swapping back and forth between dead and active every second---1 second intervals, mostly the clock), and my battery on the Bo is always dead. I fix the battery in the workshop, flip the master, and the batter remains dead. Go back to the shop; it tells me again that the "battery is shot"; I fix it, then it's dead again when I hit the master switch. No matter how many times I "fix" the dead battery, it's dead by the time I close the shop window and try to start the plane.
I'm starting the sim with the default flight and my controller disconnected (because read that this can sometimes cause issues).
I have no clue what's interfering with A2A. Any ideas? Thanks

Hello Scott,
I searched back through some of your previous posts and found this thread from around three years ago.
Are we talking about more-or-less the same issue here and is it still P3Dv4 you're using?
In any case, please can you try backing-up and then deleting the "Documents\A2A\FSX\Bonanza35" folder to remove the log.dat files which store the persistent state of the plane. This is just in case something here has become corrupted.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Constant instrument glitching and dead batteries
Hi, Nick. The issues are similar but this time I can't get around dead gauges by leaving the controller unplugged, which I used to be able to do, and for the first time, I have the persistent dead battery message no matter how many times I fix it in the "shop."
I don't mind the twitching clock (as this was a gremlin unique to me and my GTN setup (per previous thread), I'd just like the battery to come back to life so I can fly the Bo again.
I'll report back on deleting the FSX persistent state files.
Thanks for the continued help,
Scott

Re: Constant instrument glitching and dead batteries
Success! The gauge flicker is still there, but that's no big deal, because the Bo started up and no dead battery.
Deleting the persistent state files did the trick, so thanks for the tip! I'm off to put some hours on the io520.
